It can be a little disheartening to find yourself in the market for a new smartphone, given how prices on flagship models have risen in recent years—some top-shelf smartphones command $1,000 or more, depending on the model. But you know what? You don't need to spend four figures to have a quality smartphone experience. There are many entry-level and mid-range phones that are more than serviceable, and if you are looking for one, check out this deal on Google's
Pixel 3a smartphone.
We reviewed the Pixel 3a XL
last year and found it to be a full-featured, affordable phone that delivers a pure Android experience. Save for a smaller display and battery, the regular Pixel 3a shares the same hardware and features, so you pretty much get the same experience.
This is worth noting, because the Pixel 3a is only $349 on B&H Photo
right now, and it comes with some nifty bonuses. One is an Avoda TUP case (clear) valued at $19.99, and the other more tantalizing bonus is a $100 B&H Photo store e-gift card.
There is no mention of the clear case or e-gift card on the product page, but both show up when you add the phone to your cart. B&H Photo carries a wide range of electronics, from cameras a surveillance equipment, to PC hardware and TVs. That makes the $100 e-gift card all the more enticing. Of course, you could also use it to deck out the Pixel 3a with a better case, a screen protector, and whatever other accessories suit your fancy.
As a refresher, here's a look at the phone's specs:
- Display: 5.6-inch OLED
- Resolution: 2220x1080
- Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 670
- Memory: 4GB LPDDR4x
- Storage: 64GB UFS 2.1
- Front Camera: 8MP (f/2.0 aperture)
- Rear Camera: 12.2MP (f/1.8 aperture)
- Dimensions: 6.0 x 2.8 x 0.3 inches
Weight: 147 grams
This is not a flagship phone, but it is still a very capable handset, especially for the money. it's also capable of taking nice looking photos and videos, and does reasonably well in low-light situations.
