Google Pixel 4's Newest Color Leak Is A Tasty Creamsicle Delight, Astrophotography Mode Confirmed
This entry was posted on September 9, 2019 by gigarefurb.
It looks as though
Google will be offering its upcoming Pixel 4 family in at least three color options, including black, white, and a newly leaked "coral" variant (we think it resembles an orange Creamsicle). For reference, the
Pixel 3 XL and Pixel 3 are offered in Just Black, Clearly White, and Not Pink color options, but not orange (or coral or Creamsicle).
Twitter user Ben Geskin (@BenGeskin) spotted the somewhat grainy photo on Weibo. While there is also the possibility of the leaked photo being a fake, the design is consistent with images Google has already teased earlier this summer, when it essentially confirmed black variants of the Pixel 4 XL and Pixel 4, both with a square-shaped camera bump on the rear.
In a followup tweet, Geskin linked to two more images of the supposed Pixel 4, one showing the Creamsicle color option (rear shot) and the other showing a full-front display with a bubbly protective cover that hides certain details.
Assuming the orange color option is real, it is not clear what Google will officially call it. There is also the possibility that even more color options will be available when the Pixel 4 series launches.
Aesthetics aside, previous rumors peg the Pixel 4 XL as having a 6.3-inch OLED display (possibly with a 90Hz refresh rate) and the Pixel 4 having a 5.7-inch OLED screen, both powered by a
Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor. It's also been suggested the phones will arrive with 6GB of RAM.
One of the
more recent leaks claims the Pixel 4 series will introduce some new camera tricks. Namely, there will be a Motion Mode for taking photos of fast-moving subjects with blurred backgrounds, and a separate mode for snapping photos of stars at night.
Google is likely to announce the Pixel 4 series sometime next month.
