Huawei was spotted giving away free power banks to customers in line for a new iPhone model at Apple's store on Orchard Road in Singapore. That particularly location is Apple's first store in Southeast Asia, which opened for business around a year and a half ago.
The power bank has a 10,000 mAh capacity and sells for 80 Singapore dollars (around $59 in US currency). Huawei told Mothership that it gave away around 200 power banks to customers waiting in line for a new iPhone. The free power banks came with a note that reads, "Here's a power bank. You'll need it. Courtesy of Huawei."
Of course, there is more to battery life than raw capacity. Despite the smaller battery on the iPhone XS, Apple claims users can expect up to 30 minutes longer operation than the iPhone X, and up to 1.5 hours more battery life on the iPhone XS Max. We'll have more to say on actual battery life if and we when get a new generation iPhone in for review.
