- 2 x Samsung M4 Cheetah cores @ 2.73GHz
- 2 x ARM Cortex-A75 cores @ 2.4GHz
- 2 x ARM Cortex-A55 cores @ 1.95GHz
That is the same configuration as it predecessor, except the clockspeed on the pair of Cortex A75 cores has been bumped up from 2.31GHz.
"Thanks to the enhanced clock speed of the two Cortex-A75 cores and the 7nm EUV technology, the Exynos 9825 is both lightning fast and power efficient so you get optimized performance without sacrificing battery life," Samsung says.
The Exynos 9825 also sports a Mali-G76 GPU just like its predecessor. Samsung says it is clocked higher this time around, but did not specify a frequency. For reference, the Mali-G76 GPU in the Exynos 9820 runs at 702MHz.
Samsung is also touting AI capabilities, by way of an integrated neural processing unit (NPU). This is not a new feature to the Exynos family, but with so much focus on AI technology these days, it's easy to see why Samsung wants to highlight it.
"With fast, efficient AI processing, the NPU brings new possibilities for on-device AI from object recognition for optimized photos, to a suite of performance enhancing intelligence features such as usage pattern recognition and faster app pre-loading," Samsung says.
