Microsoft Offers Surface Pro And Signature Type Cover Bundle With Sweet $360 Discount

Microsoft has been on a discounting spree with its Surface Pro laptop, which broke onto the tech scene in its current iteration back in 2017. When we last visited, Microsoft was knocking $200 off across-the-board on the Surface Pro family. Now, the company is discounting a bundle that includes a Core i5 processor, 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD and a Signature Type Cover (Platinum) by $360.

The bundle typically costs $1,159, but is currently selling for $799. During the last promotion, the $799 pricing didn't include the Platinum Signature Type Cover. So, today’s deal is a 1-2 punch when it comes to value.

As with all current-generation Surface Pro tablets, you will receive a 12.3-inch PixelSense Display (2736x1824 resolution), 8MP rear camera, 5MP front-facing camera (Windows Hello ready), 802.11ac Wi-FI, Bluetooth 4.1, USB 3.0 port, microSDXC reader, mini DisplayPort, and a Surface Connect port.

The Signature Type Cover brings a full-size keyboard into the equation, and it attaches to your Surface Pro magnetically. It includes LED key backlighting, a glass trackpad and is trimmed with soft Alcantara material to up the premium feel of the device.

We don't know how long this promotion will last, but if you're in the market, there's no better time than now to get a Surface Pro -- especially if you were thinking about adding a Type Cover anyway. There may be some better deals to be had around Black Friday, but that's still months away. You can grab the bundle here.

As for the next generation Surface Pro, that model isn't expected to debut until around mid-2019, which means that the current-generation Surface Pro will have ruled the roost at Microsoft for two years by the time it's replaced.
