Razer Blade Stealth Trims The Bezels, Boosts Battery Life, And Adds GeForce GPU

Razer's Blade Stealth ultraportable is getting a big upgrade, and we must say that it's looking pretty good. The notebook has gotten a chassis redesign with smaller bezels to the left and right of the 13.3-inch Micro Edge display.

Those bezels now measure 4.9mm thin, although you will still find a larger bezel at the top of the display (which is also home to an IR camera that supports Windows Hello) and an absolutely massive bezel below the display. With that being said, customers can opt for a Full HD matte display (100% sRGB color space) or a 4K panel (also 100% sRGB).

When it comes to graphics power, this is the first time that Razer is giving the Blade Stealth the power of discrete graphics. While all Blade Stealth systems come equipped with Intel UHD Graphics 620 IGPs, you can opt for a more powerful GeForce MX150 with 4GB of GDDR5 memory. Don't count on the MX150 providing GeForce GTX or GeForce RTX levels of performance, but it should be good enough for light gaming and graphics work.

On the processor front, you'll find an 8th generation Intel Core i7-8565U processor (Whiskey Lake) paired with 8GB of DDR4-2133 memory in base configurations. If you opt for the MX150, standard memory is bumped to 16GB.

Other features include a CNC-machined aluminum chassis finished in matte black, a 53.1 Whr battery good enough for 13 hours of runtime (base systems with Intel graphics), one Thunderbolt 3 port (which supports the Razer Core external GPU enclosure), one USB 3.1 Type-C port, and two USB 3.1 Type-A ports. And as you might expect, the anti-ghosting keyboard taps into the Razer Synapse 3 software for configuring the RGB backlighting.

The new Razer Blade Stealth is available now direct from Razer priced from $1,399.
