Dataminers were the first to find information about the upcoming release. “SimonTimer” discovered that SuperHot for the Nintendo Switch had received an update on Friday, August 16th. However, the game is not currently available on that console. Industry analyst Daniel Ahmad also insisted that SuperHot is coming to the Nintendo Switch, stating on Twitter that “So far we've had...Cuphead and Super Lucky's Tale that have been Xbox exclusives come to Switch.”
Nintendo will shadow drop two games tomorrow. Many are confident that Superhot will be one of those games, but it is unclear which will be the second one. Ahmad hinted that both games are “HOT”. Some believe that he is referring to the indie game Hotline Miami. Others speculate that Nintendo will release the Japanese-inspired game Superhot JP. The game is currently being developed by GameToro with the help of the original publishers. Superhot JP was first announced in 2018, but there have been no updates.
Superhot is a first-person shooter game that was published by Superhot Team. It was originally released for the for Microsoft Windows, OS X, and Linux in February 2016 and later released for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The developers have since created VR versions of the game and standalone expansions. The game was well received at the time and was nominated for several gaming awards.
